Master’s (Thesis-Based):

PhD:
Since doctoral programs are research-intensive, having a strong publication record is essential. The absence of papers can lower your profile and make it harder to secure a supervisor.

ISI-indexed papers (especially in Scopus or high-impact journals) are considered more reputable than domestic publications. Having at least one ISI paper can significantly strengthen your academic CV.
